Raymond Anchondo Hernandez

Founder

From the tender age of five, a strong work ethic was something that his grandparents aimed to develop in him. Raymond lived in a ranch deep in Mexico, where he was responsible for feeding and cleaning the pens of cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens before school started each day. By the time he was 15 years old, he had a strong work ethic that prepared him to work side by side with his dad at his dad’s landscaping company in Maui, California. During this time, Raymond learned things about landscape upkeep that mattered to upscale clients. These things were how to stripe the grass and how to create whimsical designs out of evergreens. While he was learning those things and working for his dad, he never imagined that he would one day own his own company.

Stephanie Archuleta

Founder

As a little girl, Stephanie’s grandmothers often took care of her, and she would observe them and their love for gardening. This gave Stephanie an appreciation for flowers and plants from a very young age. “I remember one grandmother was known for her tulips, and the other was known for her roses.” She said.

When Stephanie was about to graduate from high school, her parents had purchased a brand new home with no landscaping. Her mother put her in charge of hiring the landscaper and designing the front and back yard. “I remember going for a ride with the landscaper, and as he showed me different projects that he had worked on, I could visualize exactly what I wanted for my parent’s yard.” The landscaping came out stunning, and every time she saw it, she was amazed that she had made such an impact on the way it turned out.

As Stephanie went on to buy her own home, she noticed a major flaw in the industry. “I had five thousand dollars saved up, but with all the quotes I received, it was only enough for a slab of cement or a pergola or a patch of grass with irrigation; no one had any options for me,” She said. “I kept thinking there are all these people buying new homes, and unless they have $15,000 saved up, they won’t be able to enjoy their backyards. This was when Stephanie and Raymond met. Raymond’s strong work ethic, Stephanie’s problem-solving skills, and their love for landscaping led to the birth of their company, West Texas Property Solutions, LLC.
